Services

Marketing strategy, and the words to carry it.

I work with small businesses that invest in professional media, usually photos, video, a website, or an app from DasFort Media, and want it all to add up to more customers.

You don't need to be everywhere. You need a clear message, a plan you can actually keep up with, and words that sound like you. That's what I do.

Strategy

Where every project should start, and where most skip ahead.

Marketing Roadmap

We start with what your business actually does well and who it's for. Then I build the plan: website content, blog topics, newsletter cadence, social, and a press schedule. Findable, enjoyable, shareable, and manageable by a real person with a real business to run.

Good for: New businesses, rebrands, or anyone whose marketing has turned into a pile of unrelated tasks.

Message Audit

Already have a website and content? I'll read all of it the way a customer does and tell you exactly what's working, what's confusing, and what to fix first. Specific, prioritized, and yours to act on with or without me.

Good for: Businesses that have invested in media and copy but aren't sure it's pulling its weight.

Words

Strategy is only useful once somebody writes the thing.

Website Copy

Your website's real sales team is its copy. Clear, convincing, captivating writing that finds and keeps customers, with SEO employed quietly throughout so the site climbs the rankings and still reads like a person wrote it.

Blog Posts & Newsletters

The goal is for people to say “wow” when they land on your site, and to keep them coming back. Posts and newsletters that capture the personality of your business while doing the SEO heavy lifting in the background.

Custom Articles & Advertorials

The art of the soft sell should not be underestimated. Custom articles send a message about your organization's latest accomplishment while appearing as another great read in a magazine or newspaper. Think outside the ad.

Bios, Profiles & Ghostwriting

About pages, leadership profiles, anniversary pieces, and the long stuff: I've ghostwritten a full book. If it needs to sound like you and you'd rather not write it, this is the one.

Editing

Already have a draft?

Editing

Sharp, thoughtful editing that keeps your voice while tightening the prose. Anything from a quick polish pass to a structural rewrite.

I'm a bit different from most marketing strategists.

I've spent almost a decade co-running a media company. That means I've watched hundreds of businesses buy beautiful photos, video, and websites, and I've seen exactly where the ones that grew were different from the ones that didn't. It was almost never the media. It was whether anyone had decided what the business was actually saying, and to whom.

So I start there. Then, because I'm a writer before I'm anything else, I write it. You don't get a deck to go execute. You get the plan and the words, in your voice, ready to publish.

They put a lot of creativity and heart into helping me differentiate my experiences, thought leadership and entrepreneurial perspective. The interactions were seamless and iterative, resulting in an exceptionally well-done work product.

They take time to understand your product or service, then develop strategies to get the message you want conveyed in front of your customers. Best of all, they are easy to work with!

How it works

  1. 01

    A short call

We talk about your business, what you've already got, and what you wish were different. No pitch. If I'm not the right fit, I'll tell you and point you somewhere better.

  2. 02

    A plan and a price

For most projects that's a Marketing Roadmap or a clearly scoped piece of writing. You'll know what you're getting and what it costs before we start.

  3. 03

    The work, then the check-ins

I write, you review, we refine. Ongoing clients hear from me every month, not just when the invoice is due.

If you're a small business but want to look and market like the big guys, give Tony and Laura a call! My only regret is I didn't know them sooner.
